Stolen Spaniel Pup, but Not Mine…..

Its Seekies sister though so close to home……

She was taken on the 16th out of her locked kennel in the early evening. She very like seeks to look at but has a bit less white on her face and a bit more white on her body.  Because she was stolen she actually could be any where in the UK….. Though we think she was sold for a quick bit of money as some of it does point to that though we don;t know. Its wasn’t a professional job as they took only the one, left the fully trained adults and shut all the doors and left the pups safe when they left.

The people that bred Seeks are really nice people and their dogs are so normal but they are working dogs and there is a market for them so the pup could have been stolen to order…..

Its not helped by folk in OK magazine and such like saying how lovely springers are but omitting to say the kind of home they need as Springers really do need 2 or more hours of real exercise a day or you have trouble with them.

If I remember rightly her white on her face comes up to just about her eye level and Seeks comes to the top of her head which is why I had her and not the other little pup…. the idea that had I had the other one it would be Seeks out there is horrible actually.

Could those of you in the UK keep and eye out and if your on face book could you circulate her dogslost poster please? I know I text some of you and she is out there but she needs to get hotter in order to get the people who took her to dump her to be picked up and returned via her micro-chip or sometimes they hand them is as strays.

Either way we want her back as she is a lovely trusting pup and I so hope that hasn’t changed.

Been an Odd Sort of Day…..

but lest we had the sun…..

I would like to just say that anyone looking in from The States I so hope that your ok and that sandy has not come too close to you! The devastation on the news makes me realise that although we get storms and floods we never get anything like that… except once in ’88 I think but any way you all take care.

You know I am broke… I really do have to earn more money but….. They are doing regular food bank drops in a local supermarket and it does make you wonder what is wrong with the UK?  It’s just hard to realise that folk need the food bank…. It’s 2012 and we need food banks….

Did say it was an odd day lol.

I missed the sale on sunday as it was rained off and I was relived…. The bones are non so good and the left arm is still doing its impersonation of blinding pain to be used and lifted lol. The lumber…. we still wait for the letter to tell me when I can see the specialist but…… I got a copy of the rumo;s letter and well it basically says don’t bother….. I hope he will.

This lot are all ok.

The Good News:-)

The vets have upped Wish’s meds and she is doing ok :-)

 

 

She was out in the sun today though she doesn’t go as far as the others she is still ok and it’s not time yet 🙂

Actually maybe she will get to 13…..  Only if its fair though that I do promise…..

The grass has had the frosts now and it has now stopped being as green and well I am glad there are only the 2 horses out there now…. They are getting well hairy and bless them the rain has been relentless. I did share some of the sheeps hay with them as they are starting to drop weight now……

Flower has a bit of blood in her and feels the winter more than the others seem to do….. I wish he would let me buy her (never sure how I would or could but there must be away…) and well maybe one day cus she deserves the stable and straw and real care…..

Rambling on here some eh?!

The girls are fine…. they are lovely and well the only downside is I get mugged lol. Every time I go out side I have the sheep charge at me lol

 

Its nice though and as you can see it my baby who comes first lol… she is huge!

Haz, by the way has been to the feed store and helped him self….He never leaves any money either!

Oh and took these when I rehomed Red… who is so happy 🙂 I owe the Sheppard rescue for that one!

Newforest Ponies….. I had to wait for ages while these decided if they would cross the road lol

The forest ponies…. given it was the first week in September they are not looking that good….. The Moors ponies this way don’t either. there is a big concern over some of the local ones….. What a world eh/ Mind do;t even start me on the fact that so much of the world is shot of food and scared of the guns…..

Sorry too many tables lol….. I do hope that the bones will at least try and give me a day off tomorrow … hey did you hear that? It was the 00.20 flying pig to Newquey 😉

The New Girls are Lovely!

They are sorting out who is where in the order lol……

The farm I will tell you about in a week or so as I am off away today and running out of time lol what’s new there eh? It’s quite a place though with what they have managed to get on a small area not much bigger than the back field. It’s a fully working farm and they have sheep, goats, chicken, turkeys, cows, donkeys and a Shetland pony.

Oh and forgot they have pigs as well…. quite a few at that lol.

The big one is Ermentrude, then the one with the most wool on her face is Esmerelda and the other little one is Evelyn lol bit high brow and they are 2 year old so probably not going to get any bigger…… Alb’s is huge next to them lol.

It did most the way back actually….. but at last we got home and these all seem to be getting on though I don’t think any of them know what to make of Alba lol.

Velc’s gets emails from her gardening firend Daisy…. I think they are planning world domination somehow but have never quite caught them at it….. I wonder what their password is?! Lol ‘Feed me’ as like as not 😉

The bones are a bit better, the tooth and jaw are settlering and well you all get oyur coats and come help do up and get everything to bed….. you’re going to need brolleys. foul weather gear the lot….

To The Other End of the UK

My Home Via Soul and Blood lol ……..

Cornwall is beautiful. It has so many things that make it so as well.. Beaches, cliffs, good seas for both swimming and surfing in as well as wreck dives the lot.

Trouble is it gets very busy in the summer months and dog are banned from most beaches in the season time. This place is in the middle but I come from the West and most these pic’s are from there actually.  It’s hard to get clear ones as the haze seems to come in a lot and the weather…. Chancy you need rain there and I so wish we could send you some of ours.

There is a couple of moors and I will take the dogs and we shall go to the big one (called Bodmin Moor) as it has the better Tors.  The highest point in Cornwall as well. Here is near the old chalk pits….. some still working but hanging on by their teeth. West are the od tin mines and well they =are special to me so I wanted to share the ‘best’ places with you.

Hey Botalick my great-grandfather worked down as young as 9. My grandfather as well but he was 10…. he then went to the Somme (at only 15) got injured and after that he self taught and passed exams and became a teacher. Ended up being a headmaster but he was never a miner…. He said he hated it and also that in the shaft that goes out under the sea at Botlalick  (called the dogs leg as its shaped like the back end of a dog) you could hear the tones being moved by the sea above your head.

It was a hard life being a miner but some liked it and some didn’t Pops was one who didn’t.

The Top End……

Getting away from here is difficult. There are a lot of animals and it’s not so much salubrious living either… I hadn’t got away for around 30 years but this year was different!

I managed to get a whole 10 days out and went to see a friend of mine up in Scotland… as you might know Alba said loudly, lol.

While there we went to this beautiful Loch.  Its called Lochend  Loch an is in the Drumpeller Country Park on the outskirts of Coatbridge in Scotland and its absolutely beautiful!

Iris has the most lovely yellow lab called Rubes and bless her she is so well behaved… So unlike mine (an yours Bosan, lol) We went there the first time and I was amazed at this huge expanse of dark water with the surrounding trees all bare and waiting for spring to bring them to life.  The geese where there as were ducks, swans, moorhens and terns.

Down the back a bit away from the Loch I saw deer.. 3 of them and all so un fazed by either us or Rubes .. who actually was far more interested by her stick than she ever as the deer, lol.  She had something akin to a branch by then, lol. She was so good with Alba and I am thinking of painting Lil yellow and swapping her for Rubes next tie I go up… Iris will teach her some manners lol.

Iris has also got arthritis, far worse than me actually and has to have an infusion  regularly to help keep it under control so the day she went in I took Rube’s to the Loch on my own. I had to trust Rube’s knew the way which she did but as you will see she went into all the mud as well…. lol I got her to go in the Loch one more time as we left so her Mum would never know,lol.

The other day Iris took Rubes there and got some lovely pic’s of it now in bloom and all greened up so you can see it barren and beautiful.  I just wanted to share them with you as it was beautiful.

Hey I am getting another break in the end of the summer and we shall go to the Loch  for sure!
