Some Old, Some New……..

……Its been too long…..
My nightmare began when Sequel’s sister got stolen on the 16th November last year as you all know. Its been a very hard time and still she is in the ether….
Will come back to that though…..
You remember I was given beautiful Flower? She was meant to have another foal as part of the deal….but…..2 years running she isn’t in foal 🙂 She has had 5 and will be 11 in the spring so I am hoping she wont have to now.
I did think about breaking her in ….Got a saddle and bridle that would fit her but don’t have too much strength in my body now a days lol Pup’s theft has trashed me so much…..

I have Farley the 26 year old T/B cross now for the rest of her life…..I did managed to get the 4 ponies into rescue (oh one was so bad he really did need a rescue so fast) Their ex owner is non too well mentally and sadly she wont let Farley go to rescue so she is now permanently here. Got her some decent rugs and getting a lot of feed into her and quietly worrying about how much feed she will need over winter…..

Got 6 sheep but heartbreakingly one isn’t my beautiful Bre….I lost her to a heart problem back in August….She was special in a real way but is now with Wish again. She did seem to miss Wish so much….

She went without lingering, indeed a few months before she left us I lost her ….Hunted high and low and eventually found her in a gully …between a 7=8 foot high bank and a really well made fence actually chatting up a young 6 month old ram lol.

She was a beautiful girl and will keep her for my profile still….

Some will always be that bit more special.

Ementrude is actually….Her and Ethel her sister (and the 2 little ones Esmarelda and Evlyn) are all doing so well lol. The two bigger ones must be 9 years now. The two little ones are 4 I think….and Alba…she is a giant and my big baby lol.

All growed up now but still a horror lol.

Seeks Pup’s sister is a spoilt brat who might benefit from going to boot camp with Albi lol. She is so like her sister so we use her for the posters as Pup won’t look like this any more…..

 At the same age Seeks was so like her too……So must still be really. We haven’t seen Pup since one day off 5 months old…..

She is still small but for once she can be her self…so …her is the mental not missing Sequel lol

The bones have got quite bad I guess. The OA is starting to really impact and due I think to the stress of Pup being stolen the PA will not give me any rest but thankfully the drug trial worked so well that I am still on the Tapentadol They and the Pregabs do help so much and I am a still good for 20-30 mins before I have to sit….I mean have to as well or I just flake out.

Looking for Pup has meant we got a foster dog and two pigs lol….. The pigs are huge but quite sweet …the dog…oh he is hell!! Have made some progress with him but he is still a handful and then some ……

The pigs were nearly sent to market and they had been raised as pet pigs so it would have been so hard for them…..They came here instead lolo They will never be eaten!! They did get out…..

Minnie wanted to scare the horses ….Flower decided she would stop and say hello so Minnie decided to run lol….

They really are nice….but huge!!

I have become obsessed with checking the lost and found sites so its been so nice to just spend a bit of time doing this./…I promise I will keep it up dated again and will just leave you all some more of these x

Food delivered by trailer…..

well…. nearly ……… lol

Had this ‘really good’ idea yesterday… would get a big bale as it works out a lot cheaper.  The horses were still here and a small bale wouldn’t last a night so….

Hitched up the trailer, which sounds easy but its hell! Big its not but its twin wheel and so heavy to lift up to get t on the tow bar.  The advantage of that is it doesn’t tip no matter how much weight you put in the back end lol maybe that’s why its was made like that.

Both my trailers are home made but both, what ever their faults, tow lovely…. So off we go, late by now of course but I turned up the field straight and it began to slide a bit…. Its an automatic so not as good on mud as a manual… we had to go back down and come up at a better angle and still it slipped…. but not enough to go sideways lol.

Sideways you loose and the number of times I have done just that…. I used to have this big 4 x 4…. LWB and was almost as good as a Landy but she wasn’t a tractor and did a massive slide right down the front fields slope and into the worst wettest bit…. The tractor got stuck trying to pull her out it was that bad but once he didn’t have the weight of the car he got out and we then used a very, very long rope lol.

The farmer got the bale, he only got haylidge, and as he loaded it on to the trailer 2 things became obvious…. A) the trailer is just not wide enough and B) the bales so heavy it was going to break it… so back to small bales till I can find someone to bring one right in as most will only drop it at the gate.  That gets muddy enough without them eating there…..

Had the jabs today and they so have helped the neck. The botox makes that muscle stop spasaming…. its the only thing that does now a days. When it locks up like that it really hurts and effects the left arm even more… it sort of effects that all the time anyway but when its locked it 5x worse.

She has upped the new tabs, hardly new any more but they are so effective and luckily the only side effects I have had has been a slight hangover feeling for a few mornings…. oh and sleeping 23 hours the first night 8-/  When I think how ill I used to be with the oxy’s and these are better pain relief and so clearly suit me 🙂

Its all a bit sore though just now …. and actually quite yellow having been plastered in iodine lol.

She hopes to avoid the bi-lats that way as I have had so many but she said she will not restrict me so much to numbers as to how many years…. I had the first lot in 1986 but those notes are long lost 😉

I have only joined for the pup though I can’t modernise that much 😉  Hey have even now got a laminater for her posters lol

Hey same chair same pup… she is really growing and look how much black flecks she is getting…. I wonder if her sister has the same now?

Right the pain in the lumber (I wont tell you why, suffice to say Alb’s doesn’t like her feet doing 😉   ) has eased enough to lie down so you all take care x

From Normal To A ……

Old crone overnight lol

Something happened yet again this morning… Woke up in the normal pain and grumbling from the lumber …. went into the kitchen and out the kettle on then without reason or revenge the lumber gave out and I was on the floor……

Many things in this place are dodgy but the floor first thing…. before any clearing up…. can’t say I would recommend it….. lol.

Made it to the armchair and pulled my self up but oh it so hurt I just sat and cried… now that is not the way to fight arthritis….. that’s letting it win and besides i had dogs to get out, horses to let out and chicken to let out… though tell me this…

I have a few hens, I count them odd so there are 5 greys, 5 blacks, 3 speckled and then 2 buff coloured and one black and white one…. so tell me how come I am buying eggs…….

They are all having a huge moult just now but they doing it all together …. lol blame the weather 😉  The 3 young ones will soon be point of lay and with luck I might get a few roadies soon as well ands they should lay well too… note the word should 😉

Anyway back to the armchair and the useless pile of pain sat in it…

I was next to the phone and could  called have called for help but I was only wearing slippers and a t-shirt and nobody deserves that lol.  Bit like when I got in the bath and couldn’t get out… 3/4 of and hour that took lol. …… but who you going to call in that state of undress ……

I know I said this a lot but I truly do hate this arthritis stuff! It and I have battled for control of my body for so long and its sort of starting to win… but it wont 🙂

Back to this poor pup…. sorry

Well since starting this draft I have become a pup obsessed  moron…. That pup could so easily have been this little horror quietly pushing me out the armchair….

I choose Seeks instead of her sister that’s been stolen and well I keep thinking it could have been Seeks had I chosen the other little one it would have been. That is a good reason to really be looking for that pup.

I know her Mum and dad want her back and are both shocked and stunned and like me they are feeling it more each day. It will be 3 weeks on Saturday and well she has just disappeared and all that needs to happen is her ‘wonderful’ new owner takes her to a vet….. the chip will flag up …. but her new owner hasn’t bothered to as yet!

That’s when you worry. She isn’t with a responsible person where ever she is.

She was picked up here ( the petition…. its a good idea and actually it surprised me it wasn’t already mandatory …. The UK dog laws etc are a mess and not for the first time Deffra need to take a look and make it harder to deal in stolen dogs!

You know I have had a bit of a shock one way and another…..a whole murky side of selling and easy market for stolen dogs….

Where the hell do they think the cheap wanted  dog comes from?!! I mean is that what they mean by stolen to order? Then you have the awful side of pups being used as fighting dog bait (though they tend to go for specific breeds of pups….Poor mites don’t have a chance! )

What a world eh? The UK is supposed to be a nation of dog lovers and yet under it all there is an ileitis trade in stolen dogs….. Add in the breed machine dogs who only know cages and puppies…

I really think that the representation of dog lovers does still hold but its under threat by this horrible trade in stolen dogs.  There does seem to be a lot going missing from their gardens and cars….. Especially near here so have become a bit paranoid I think 😉

Oh and don’t even start me on cat lovers….. I disrepair at some people but will have 2 unspayed cats, one just had kittens and the other probably will…. lol the soap box is getting taller 😉

Well taller it might be but speyed they will be! Long as I get them that is…..

Anyway back to the pup…

Have put up posters, have done leaflets, talked to dog owners asking them to keep an eye out. Have emailed all Cornwall’s vets (a lot have said to add her to their wall and have printed out her poster for their waiting rooms) Have done up-country vets on the off chance she was sold via one of these ‘wanted cheap dog and I don;t care if its been stolen’ adds… that’s really got to me I have to say…. and I hide it so well lol.

Contacted dog wardens and am now working my way through up-country ones as well as local…. I don;t know what else to do and please any ideas just say.

She has been on twitter via Dogslost (who are so good at helping) and everyone I know who uses it… facebook I think the same but we need to make her hotter…. I have no idea how to?

You read about making them ‘Too Hot to Handle’ but I just don;t know how to do it….. I know we have to but how beyond what we have done?

I almost joined face book…. If she had her own page …. would it help though? Could do a second blog on WP as I understand that but would it help get her out there and hot… really hot so they dump her and she can be picked up and scanned and we get her back?

Actually that’s an idea eh?  This blog is about us here but the pup has become so important and I feel so worried and its in the back of my mind all the time… Imagine how bad her Mum and Dad feel?!

I look at Seeks and I think what would she have done had it been her, how would it have effected her and round the circle we go….

See we do need to find her lol.

Right soap box away and I have the jabs in the spine and neck again Monday… its the 9th I think lol.  The big ones had to wait as I had quite a cough and do that at the wrong time it will hurt at least lol.  They are not pleasant to have but boy do they help especially with the endless spasaming that ‘probably’ isn’t helped by being so worried 😉

Seeks is growing up, the puppy has morphed into an adolescent that has more strength to push me out the chair lol.  She is now house-trained (that was easy you know she wanted to be… side glance at River and Imbie who both have separation problems …. Those 2 …. well they are def work in progress .. and in so many ways lol.

Imbie has good recall mind…. side glance at Haz…

Haz goes deaf…. he just disappears over a bank and seems to think if he comes back in behind me and comes from that way i will think he has been here all the time….. he really does believe us humans are thick lol.

He will be 8 in March and that means we have been lumbered with each other 7  years…. lol he is magic but can be so naughty…. He was hand raised (his mum died giving birth) and then he was not given enough boundaries….. well you can imaging how hard he was at 9 moths old when he and I became lumbered… lol it took me 18 months to love him he was so bad…. Chewed like a giant termite as well. He would drag the armchair into the middle of the room and then shark round it ripping out mouth fulls as he passed.

He ate every car seat out the car except the drivers one….

Now all he does is trash the chair covers indoors and a duvet in the car so a huge improvement eh 🙂

He has a bit of a clown in there as well 😉

Right i will think about the pup having her own blog….. it might take a long time to get her back but we will!!! We simply just have to and please keep her plastered everywhere you can think to put her.

There is Another week Gone by…..

and I still not sure it went lol……

I have a lot of bi latrails (i hope) and botox going in my back and neck Monday and odd to say am looking forward to them… she uses a lot of local and its wonderful to be so numb for a few hours lol.

I put young Seeks on some really top draw food and man is she growing but challenging every boundary about 50 times a day lol…. who said having a puppy is easy 😉

She has been going to pup parties at the vets and has not been too bad… though deep down I think she might be on a quest for world domination lol. They take pics and its open to the public so this is where you can find some pics of  the pup parties. There are a lot of other pics there but the parties are logged mostly each week…. Seeks is the black and white springer and yep she does have a degree of dominance……

Now they have added a Beagle…. I followed the link and found this petition… no body has to sign it but its a good one, to me, as I have issues with animals experimentation (I don’t plug them) but to use Beagles with their need for exercise and mental stimulations as much as they do to me is so wrong….. The link is u to you all but if you think that in 2013 (nearly 14) its un-fair to use the beagles in the way maybe you would like to sign it.

They need a few more signatures though deep down I suspect nothing will change. Not sure about other countries policies re the testing on Beagles but the UK should hang its head that its made it this far already…. see I do have issues lol.  They are an incredibly trusting but very active breed and such a bad choice if any would be right they are one of the ones that suffer that bit more by being caged and restricted in every way…. will shut up now and let Seeks eat the soap box 😉

Will just say that its an odd breed to have chosen but it might be thet they have no real know hereditary health issues and so many breeds do eh?

Its gone cold so have put rigs on both Flower and Farley….. I sort of hope it will help to keep both up to weight for a bit longer. The grass has got a huge second rush just now and both are going into winter well covered 🙂

Will get Flowers side of the shed finished this week after the jabs I will be much better at hammering and moving wood lol. I do abuse things a bit I guess…..

Seeks is really growing… I got some of the top dig food for her… It was fluke but its Mum and Starter but will cover a pup to 12 months. Her mum was fairly small so I sort of hope that this will help get her to her full potential lol…. what ever that is…… 😉

She is crashed out, half on my lap and half on the arm of the chair…. now she can’t do that when she is bigger….. She came to a sale today and is shattered… that makes 3 of us as Haz came as well and is upside down on the settee….. he doesn’t snore though and the pup does like hell lol.

Did I tell you Primmy is back? Its nice to see her and she is looking good, well they all are.

I think being here over winter and being fed actual food is why she is so big….. shoulder high to me easy and might well be bigger than Primmy but never as nice, oh hows that for bias lol

Took a lot of pics today and well you can see there is a problem with the camera…. Its got haze or condensation on the inside of the lens and well I don;t know how to get in to it to dry and clean it…. It was raining the other day and cold and that’s when it started…… I hope you will forgive the fog in the pics though as long as its away from the sun its not too bad…..

Yep Seeks is running trailing a long lead…. she has been playing too much chase me and I hate chase me…..

and of course the full grown Alba 🙂

Someone kept on and on and on telling me today about the risk of sheep rustling…. There have been a few taken in Devon and one the Cornwall border but I so wish that they had not kept on so much as I couldn’t cope to well with these being taken and eaten….. can you imagine…. see they shouldn’t have kept on so much but they are in a shed 30′ from here and I would be woken as the dogs would go mad….. Really on edge tonight….. There us a big padlock on the gate that doesn’t lift off too easily and we are here…..

Oh the gate and Haz…..

Its an automatic car (it couldn’t have happened if it had been a manual one) and I stopped at the gate to unlock and open them (its two gated that meet in the middle and have a spike going down to hold the gates there…..

Put the car in park but did leave it running…..

Haz got his collar (somehow) stuck on the gear selector….. pushed the button in with his head…… stuck it right down in low gear… it would all have been ok as the hand brake holds it quite well in gear but in his panic he got his back end onto the foot well sand stood on the accelerator…..

Did some damage… the wing and door had to have extensive knocking out and the gate ended up being ripped off its hinges as well as under the car where it hit the petrol tank and made a hole in it……

A mate of mine think there might be a contract on me and Haz is the hit man lol

Sorry its been a long time but…..

So much has gone wrong…. and some right ….

I got very down for a bit there… worry about Wish and my own health to a degree.. or cheesed off might be better than worry in the health case. I have had so much pain and swelling typing became hard… and then so much pc trouble (that’s still going on lol)

In march i lost my beautiful Slurpy Lilly lab… It was a tragic accident. She got out in the lane and despite being a over knee high dog on a straight bit of road….with good visibility…… the driver wasn’t looking and that was the end of Lil…. I took it hard to be honest as no matter what it was my fault she was out there but bless her she left such a hole.

In May the worst happened and Wish left us… bless her 13.5 is a good age for a sheep but oh I missed her. So did Bre

R.I.P to two of the best animals I have ever had the privilege to know.

The day I lost Wish (it was on my birthday actally…. not the best way to celebrate) I was  given Flower…. now I was worried about her, and have been for the last 7 years as is obvious in this in blog lol. She is now safe!!!  She is not in foal this year (though he wants one more foal from her which is fair enough I guess).

I kept her and Phoenix over winter as she needed a rug and food!  Got her a light weight turn out rug though as you can see she looked some silly lol.

It took me a long time to get him to agree to a rug, and then I had to say I had borrowed it but of course I brought it….. it didn’t look quite so shiny and new in a few weeks lol. Now I can just save up and buy her a heavier one that will keep her a lot warmer as well as dry!

That one was before I knew I was going to keep her over winter…. I couldn’t let her not grow a coat as when she went she would be out in the full force of a hideous cold, windy and wet Cornish winter….. they are so long now a days as well lol.

She has a shed to be in over night (he would never have agreed to that) and now by fluke she has a companion……

Farley is a beautiful 22-24 year old part thoroughbred (though it might be some Arab.. infact I thought she was an Anglo but the vet said not…) anyway she has a bit of blood in her. She came here as her owner needed to find her other livery and couldn’t part with her so her she is as a companion to Flower and a really nice additional shadow….

Now to the health thing…..

I hate arthritis and it hates me! I have had more facet joint jabs, a ton and a half of botox in the triggers (hell i wish I could get my face in the way lol) Then a couple of months ago the pain doc put me on a trial of a new drug….. its been developed as an alternative to MST and the Oxycotin (i am sorry as any USA readers will have different names but they are both morphine based… well actually morphine one in liquid form the other in tablet.

Both make me very sick

That is why the new drug has been developed They wanted to give the same pain coverage but not have sickness as a side effect. Its a bit like Tramadol very big brother… still licensed so could be addictive (I keep heaving to remind my self to take them though lol)

The have been incredible and the drugs company… I am so pleased with them, to have pain relief and not the grinding sickness lol.

Still on the pregablin (for the USA folk that’s Lyrica) and that is such a good drug and again I am lucky and can take 600 per day with no real side effects as such… well a night with a singing tree was interesting lol.  At the time my only issue is he sang a song from a musical and I would have preferred something modern lol.

Even with the pregabs and the tapadol i have hideous pain… but.. we made the shed into 2 stables… what did I expect? Did some finishing off with bread baskets as well as wood 😉 what did I think would happen to the useless body?!

Really the one I will not have  (the Fibro) is growing teeth as well…. I been put back on the MTX and at least some of the joint swelling is going down but I feel like fill in the blanks 😉

It is rough after finishing off the stables as it was a lot of sawing and reaching up…… I am so stupid but then I long ago vowed to fight it and I really do…. I feel like some one has a knife in my spine between the shoulder blades and the left arm is so painful and doesn’t like lifting…..

Least I am better mentally….

That bit was horrid, I was just so down and had no good news or even normal just bad news and sadness….. Its better now and the fates have smiled on me and I have ended up with a baby Springer…. she is beautiful, wilful and a monster lol

And yep that is a kitten….

Have 2 now and they have been so ill. Fluids and milk every 2 hours for 6 weeks… three of those weeks they were at the vets each day for injections… the vets saved them though and they are going on ok….. They look a bit odd but they are alive and 4 weeks ago that looked very unlikely….

Hey this is the sheds transformation……

It was hard work but I had a very nice willing helper and she sis so much of it leaving the useless body to be a lot less challenged. The finishing off… well that was just me but it will do eh?

The other side now needs some finishing off. i am planing to bored it and then put in some sawdust to bring the floor to all one level and then shavings on top… I can’t get the concrete up from the bases that are there so it will have to be levelled with the shavings and then really packed out with shavings eh? Can’t have the dust and its possible the shavings will do the job…… I might try that first as sawdust really is dusty stuff.

Its not brilliant but it will get them out of the cold and rain at least.

Its a temporary thing and will do the job though they have the length the width is only just under 10 feet….. they fit but I wish it was wider but being broke means I can’t build one but in time they will have nice stables up near the sheep shed 🙂

Hey with bedding it looks ok on the side that’s now finished. I had to poach a few feet fopr a small feed store as it would be easier that way but as you can see Farley been in as a test it out five mins thing and she does fit… Flower will as well but i still have to make a door and finish her side…… tell that to my back, neck and arms……. lol I seriously hate arthritis!!!

Then meet Ethel, Ermentrude’s sister 🙂 She came in June (I think) and Bre was happier to have 6 again….  Ethel came from Surrey Dock farm and as last time I was amazed at how well they had laid it all out. Its got to be good that kids in a city can see cows, sheep pigs etc and even in London there is a farm lol.

Like her sister she is so gentle and kind and very tame… she isn’t into custard creams as much as the other 5 but she is getting there lol.

Lastly…… In late February I took in a full blown collie….. bit messed up but so lovely…. I have actually called her Imbie…. and her surname is Sill…… and yes she is! lol

Just remembered I am not talking to him….. He tried to kill me lol… he really did but will tell you about that next blog lol.

Good Title eh…..

Well the outdoor sale was cancelled and the indoor one closed for repairs and really it was just as well cus I been rough yet again. I have a thing called barrettes oesophagus and also something caused GORD and the 2 combined can and do make me feel so ill at times and very sick….. They look at it all from time to time and give me more tablets and well just today its all been sore as there is also inflammation in the oesophagus as well. It had made it grade 3 last time and well i don;t think its got much better lol.

So getting up to find one sale cancelled meant I was able to drag the useless bones back to bed lol. Then the other was closed so I am ashamed to say i went back to bed after being some sick again….

I not so bad tonight lol.  Oddly enough less tired as well lol.

I went out with the camera though and Lil and Haz accompanied me and got butted by the sheep who obviously haven’t been worked with dogs lol. Bre stood back as she has been. Mind she is not too opposed to a foot stamp at Haz as she turns to leave lol.

She foot stamps me as well. Its funny, I got Bre when Gotley Stampy Feet died…… They are alike actually though I had Got for years she never fully tamed so I thought what the hell I would share another poem with you… dedicated to Gotley Stampy Feet

She was a lovely sheep and though she was only ten and a half when I lost her she was so ill when I got her that every day was a bonus without every year. She had a thing called Orph… its not good and untreated it can go after the internal organs as well as make sores on the face and the tongue hard and inflexible  Often they call that a wooden tongue  Her sister I lost the first day but Got was a fighter (in so many ways 😉 a good one as well lol) She did recover though was weaned by about 6 weeks though we had no idea of her real age.  I said to her so often the first few weeks that you got to live she ended up being called Got lol.

She loved old Ilk (as did Wish and Hope) and her and Wish never really bonded. After Ilk’s death Wish and Hope didn’t really welcome Got into their circle….. Sheep are funny though and don’t like being on there own so enter the Breagh!

Wow I veered off there some didn’t I?!

Not too sure i am safe to post on the oxy’s lol.

Took some nice pic’s today and did I say i had taken in a couple of kittens? Called Max (a black lad about 4 months old) and Masie about 2 months or so old

Funny little thing. Quite stunted but has improved and might just be a small cat but sometimes they can surprise you. Long ago I had a cat called Zennor who didn’t grow very well as a baby I took him to the vets… he ended up being one of the biggest cats I have ever had!

Wish was baby sitting today it was too wet out for her so though the door was open she said she would look after the chicken lol

Then I braved the mud and went to see where the other girls were

Then they saw me lol

A break in the rain was appreciated by these two as well I think

off they go……

and back they come…..

and after a long day eating grass its good to kick off your heels and roll…. though I wasn’t quick enough and only caught the aftermath lol

I will get that mud off her tomorrow lol

Ermentrude said since non of you have custard creams she is off lol.

Rain and then more Rain lol…….

This weather is getting silly now…..

We shouldn’t complain about our weather when folks in the US have so much more to complain about I know

BUT

I live in a swamp! It’s really bad and still the rain falls….. One day this will all just float away lol.

It sort of gets to me the endless mud…. Its bad and only November….

Got the girls in early as we had more rain and thunder today…. Even Haz said enough is enough…. As ever he won’t change his clothes lol.

She went walk about yesterday….. Was captured and returned lol. Some youngsters found her… see there is good in the young! That’s the trouble with Beagles… they get wonder lust….

The cold is making the mud worse actually…. I have a couple of things that make for bad circulation and well you know… if you think about it….. This isn’t really the right way of life for my body lol.

I declare all out war on the useless thing lol. Think I already have so a change of tactics is needed lol…..

Open to any ideas as well……

Not too many pics today, a lot of mud and sheep but the horses…oh bless them its hard in this weather for them as well even if they are the reason there is so much mid out there….. Must talk to their owner as the fields have all but had it and though they are the two best ones I think lower and more sheltered fields would be better for them now….

I wrote this a while ago now… it’s about my animals aka my employer’s lol

“Employers” 

It’s an odd sort of trap, this lot and me,
No day is complete without strain and pain,
They give no peace, they won’t let me be,
They don’t care about the mud, wind or rain,
They want their food and endless clean sheets,
They want their water, no matter how heavy,
Regardless of the pain in my hip, back and feet,

But sometimes…….

I wish thee weren’t so many!

Yet which to loose, I could never choose,
Which would stay, and decide which should go,
I worry about them from wake to snooze,
They own me now and are part of me so,
Cluck, quack, bark, meow or bleat
They pull my strings and never give praise,
Looks like another bad day for my hip, back and feet,

But maybe………

I should ask for a raise!

 

Hey bet they wont give me one… they sending me to a sale tomorrow lol….. Indoor though so it will at least be dry lol.

Been an Odd Sort of Day…..

but lest we had the sun…..

I would like to just say that anyone looking in from The States I so hope that your ok and that sandy has not come too close to you! The devastation on the news makes me realise that although we get storms and floods we never get anything like that… except once in ’88 I think but any way you all take care.

You know I am broke… I really do have to earn more money but….. They are doing regular food bank drops in a local supermarket and it does make you wonder what is wrong with the UK?  It’s just hard to realise that folk need the food bank…. It’s 2012 and we need food banks….

Did say it was an odd day lol.

I missed the sale on sunday as it was rained off and I was relived…. The bones are non so good and the left arm is still doing its impersonation of blinding pain to be used and lifted lol. The lumber…. we still wait for the letter to tell me when I can see the specialist but…… I got a copy of the rumo;s letter and well it basically says don’t bother….. I hope he will.

This lot are all ok.

The Good News:-)

The vets have upped Wish’s meds and she is doing ok :-)

 

 

She was out in the sun today though she doesn’t go as far as the others she is still ok and it’s not time yet 🙂

Actually maybe she will get to 13…..  Only if its fair though that I do promise…..

The grass has had the frosts now and it has now stopped being as green and well I am glad there are only the 2 horses out there now…. They are getting well hairy and bless them the rain has been relentless. I did share some of the sheeps hay with them as they are starting to drop weight now……

Flower has a bit of blood in her and feels the winter more than the others seem to do….. I wish he would let me buy her (never sure how I would or could but there must be away…) and well maybe one day cus she deserves the stable and straw and real care…..

Rambling on here some eh?!

The girls are fine…. they are lovely and well the only downside is I get mugged lol. Every time I go out side I have the sheep charge at me lol

 

Its nice though and as you can see it my baby who comes first lol… she is huge!

Right I have taken a hit of tablets and hope the ramble is okish lol…….

 

Haz, by the way has been to the feed store and helped him self….He never leaves any money either!

Oh and took these when I rehomed Red… who is so happy 🙂 I owe the Sheppard rescue for that one!

Newforest Ponies….. I had to wait for ages while these decided if they would cross the road lol

The forest ponies…. given it was the first week in September they are not looking that good….. The Moors ponies this way don’t either. there is a big concern over some of the local ones….. What a world eh/ Mind do;t even start me on the fact that so much of the world is shot of food and scared of the guns…..

Sorry too many tables lol….. I do hope that the bones will at least try and give me a day off tomorrow … hey did you hear that? It was the 00.20 flying pig to Newquey 😉

Life Isn’t Always easy eh……

Now how much do I say…….

At the moment the UK is locked in the most horrendous child abuse revelations….. the news is full of it (as it should be actually) and at last some justice might get done….

However…..

I was a very abused and neglected kid and the news has this downside…. Memories long locked away do have this tendency to re-surface….. I was interviewed about a historical case a while ago and at that interview I realised I was abused in another case as well… came as a shock and as ever it brings the deep inside shame that just never goes away.

Its triggered the flare I think, something has anyway and that combined has kinda floored me….. I keep feeling this wave of absolute shame and its just gets hold of me deep down and renders me back to a defenceless child if any of that makes sense?

Its not what the blog is for but I just had to mention it… well yell it I guess….

Right the neighs have all but gone 🙂 The mud has got so bad and the break-ins of the sheep shed were becoming an issue lol. It was also becoming a bit scarce of grass time and well its good to just have….. Flower and Phoenix 🙂 They are special but I have not got the feeling for the baby as I had for Primmy cus I realise now the rule of never getting fond of someone else’s animal is best not broken eh?

The girls….. oh they are just so lovely and thinking about it we have saved 6 here from meat! Mind Bre said she was expensive lol. Before these there were 7 others so I think I have paid my debt to my old friend Bengie…. Oh he was lovely and even came walks with us.

No point saying I know what happened to him……Its so obvious but these will never go the same way!

Right rambling away and only half a brain to use lol. The one I haven;t got and the circulation are acting up as well as the swollen fingers and the aches and pains lol. Age was never  going to be a friend lol.

Took these the day before they left and they are only over the village so I still see them but don’t have them making mud everywhere lol.

She isn’t 100% sure about the sheep just now but today… She was talking to Wish and was happy about it all. Wish her self is now on  a high dose of meds… when they stop working … lets not go there eh?

She is a nice little filly actually and so like her brother from last year….. She certainly carries the name Phoenix well 😉

and finally… at last… he did something right lol

Right the cats are massing… with their bowls and bibs lol. Best go feed them otherwise they might get nasty lol.

Felt so rough again……

This bone stuff really is the scourge of life!

My own fault for agreeing to give up the MTX eh? The thing is it didn’t seem to be doing much and well its a bit of a shock how much it might be doing lol. By giving it up I have also been able to stop 2 anti-emetics and the folic acid….. but the bones…. well the hands are no better and the arm on the left has lost so much of its function….. I must try and remember not to use it to reach lol.

Got a bit of sun today…… bloods in a day or so so the fact its a bit warmer will help to get it out with luck…. Lol like that will happen…. oh its a real pain in so many ways… but…

The girls are settling and have become such a nice little flock 🙂 Elna your Evelyn is so sweet as well but I love Ermentrude so much as she is so like my old lady (Ilk to her friends;-)

The horses are getting very fluffy and am a bit worried at Milly’s short back end thing…. As she grows it might improve but if I were the owner…. well …. some of it might be correctable by a bag of something like grow and win…. I might try it actually….. Just he would get some teasey if he found out…..

I must decide about them coming back next year…. It’s a bit of a dilemma.. they have done so much damage this year for a start and he thinks its funny while I get a bit tired of mending fences, cars, mud and the back end of the other van….. I also worry about the lack of well there are many ways to do things but….. Guess you know where that would go were it not a public place?!

I have at last sorted out the rest of the pics so as the hands are so swollen and the neck is yelling will leave them to do the talking….

Oh and the dogs in the beginning were at Rose’s with her beautiful pharaoh hound who was so bad….. so so bad…. Rose has promised me some pics so when they come I will use them cus Second Chance did such a good and brave thing there to be honest!

Oh and is it just me who thinks Lexy looks like a big bear……
